| Episode Narrative | A fast but strong storm system that developed across the Central Plains Friday night, November 12th, moved north-northeast across portions of southeast Minnesota, and into West Central Wisconsin by the afternoon of Saturday, November 13th. A band of heavy snow fell from northwest Iowa, into south central, and east central Minnesota during the early morning hours of Saturday, and quickly moved northeast into northeast Minnesota by the early evening. There was a 50 to 150 mile wide band of 6 to 10 inches of snow that fell between Midnight and 3 pm. The heaviest measured snow was in Maple Grove in the northwest portion of the Twin Cities, where 12 inches fell. Numerous areas from Mankato, northeast through the Twin Cities, and north to Wyoming, Minnesota had between 6 and 11 inches by the mid afternoon. This snowfall was extremely wet with some areas having snowfall ratios of 5:1 to 8:1 in the Twin Cities area. |
| Event Narrative | Light snow began in the county shortly after midnight, and became heavy toward sunrise in the far eastern part of the county. The heavy snow then tapered off by noon, before ending during the early afternoon. Total snowfall amounts ranged from 6 to 9 inches. |
