| Episode Narrative |
The intense rainfall that occurred over northern Iowa and southern Minnesota during late September continued to cause flooding along the upper reaches of the Des Moines River. The river had crested in September in most locations. The exception was in Humboldt, where the crest occurred on the 8th. See the September report for more details. Flooding was overall minor during this period. An extended period of warm and dry weather allowed the river to recede to within its banks by around mid month. |
