Episode Narrative A low pressure system moved slowly from Missouri to Illinois, which brought heavy snow to portions of southwest and central Wisconsin from April 10th through April 12th. Snowfall amounts varied greatly, ranging from 3 to 4 inches in valleys to around a foot across higher terrain. Highest snowfall totals included 12.5 inches near Viroqua (Vernon County), 8.0 inches at Black River Falls (Jackson County) and 6.0 inches at Cuba City (Grant County). Strong northeast winds accompanied the storm, which caused blowing and significant drifting snow, especially in open areas.
