| Episode Narrative |
Deep tropical moisture moving across the region brought numerous showers and thunderstorms to central Louisiana throughout the day on July 26. One thunderstorm produced considerable wind damage to a farm in northwestern Vernon Parish. |
| Event Narrative |
Leesville Daily Leader newspaper reported two large chicken houses were destroyed at the Merriman Farm on Wolf Hill Road at B Hall Loop northeast of Hornbeck, with the loss of 22,000 chickens. An NWS Storm Survey determined damage was likely from a microburst that spread from southeast to northwest across the farm. A few trees were also blown down in the area. |
