Episode Narrative A small complex of thunderstorms became severe across the Twin Cities Metro area, and moved east across portions of west-central Wisconsin during the early morning hours of Tuesday September 21st. The most extensive damage occurred in and around the Balsam Lake area of Wisconsin.
Event Narrative Numerous large trees and power lines were blown down from west of the City of Balsam Lake near Long Lake, northeast to County Road I or east of Bone Lake, Wisconsin. Large hail was also reported during the same time period, but no measurements were made on hail size. A corn field was also flattened north of County Road G, and east of Half Moon Lake due to the severe winds.
