A small complex of thunderstorms became severe across the Twin Cities Metro area, and moved east across portions of west-central Wisconsin during the early morning hours of Tuesday September 21st. The most extensive damage occurred in and around the Balsam Lake area of Wisconsin. |
| Event Narrative |
Numerous large trees and power lines were blown down from west of the City of Balsam Lake near Long Lake, northeast to County Road I or east of Bone Lake, Wisconsin. Large hail was also reported during the same time period, but no measurements were made on hail size. A corn field was also flattened north of County Road G, and east of Half Moon Lake due to the severe winds. |
