A band of strong to severe thunderstorms developed during the late afternoon and early evening hours in northern Alabama and southern middle Tennessee. One storm produced a suspected microburst in North Courtland in Lawrence County, Alabama which knocked a tree onto a home. The occupant of the home received a minor injury as a result. Another severe storm knocked a few trees and power lines down in Town Creek, also in Lawrence County. Locally heavy rain and frequent lightning were components of these storms as well. |
