Heavy rains resulted in flash flooding of Highway 96 in western Hancock County during the afternoon and early evening of June 12. The highway was under water at several locations between Hamilton, IL and Dallas City, IL. In addition, flood waters covered part of the Powelton Blacktop east of Nauvoo, IL as well as various parts of northwest Hancock County. |
