| Episode Narrative |
A stationary boundary remained over eastern West Virginia on the 27th. A northwest flow aloft provided cold air advection at the mid-levels of the atmosphere. The combination of warm and humid conditions near the surface and colder air aloft led to moderate amounts of instability. Some of the thunderstorms that developed near the front became severe. Large hail was the primary threat due to the colder air aloft. |
