A few isolated strong to severe thunderstorms developed across interior southeast Texas during the morning hours on April 24. One storm became supercellular as it passed into west-central Louisiana, with a few reports of large hail received. This same supercell thunderstorm eventually moved into northeastern Louisiana and Mississippi where it produced several long-track tornadoes with considerable damage and fatalities. |
