Episode Narrative Moist southeasterly low level flow coupled with an approaching upper level trough allowed numerous showers and thunderstorms to develop across eastern New Mexico. Storms began early in the morning, where hail and even a tornado was reported across the southeast. Storms continued into the afternoon, where up to golf ball size hail was reported.
