| Episode Narrative | Thunderstorms developed ahead of an eastward moving cold front over the Ozark Mountains of southern Missouri. Strengthening mid-level winds ahead of a strong shortwave trough over the central Plains aided storm development. Moderate instability combined with strong effective bulk shear around 50 knots provided very favorable conditions for a couple of supercells that tracked close to the Tennessee border. |
