Episode Narrative Snow showers developed during the afternoon hours beneath a strong upper level system. The showers deposited total snow amounts of a quarter to one half inch in some areas. Flurries and light snow showers continued during the overnight hours on the 15th into the morning hours of the 16th. An additional wave of snow showers developed around 6 am on the 16th. Northwest flow across Lake Wheeler produced some enhanced snowfall atop Brindley mountain in eastern Morgan and Marshall Counties where up to an inch was reported. Numerous wrecks were reported due to the slick conditions.
Event Narrative Lake enhanced snowfall developed during the late evening hours from Arab to Union Grove to Guntersville on Brindley mountain. This produced an additional one half to one inch of snowfall in these areas.
