Episode Narrative A large storm system moved through southern Wisconsin, spreading heavy snow across northwestern Wisconsin. The heaviest of the snow fell during the overnight hours of December 8. Snowfall totals ranged from 8 to 24 inches, with the highest amounts near the south shore of Lake Superior, due to lake enhancement. Some specific amounts include 24 inches near Montreal, 21 inches at Gile, 20 inches near Washburn, 17 inches in Poplar, and just over 8 inches in Park Falls. North winds gusting over 30 mph also caused blowing and drifting of the snow.
