Episode Narrative Cold high pressure in place over the Tennessee Valley and the northeastern US produced clear skies optimal for radiational cooling. This allowed temperatures to drop into the upper 20s to lower 30s across the Huntsville forecast area. The coldest temperatures where seen in sheltered valleys and rural locations.
Event Narrative Temperatures across Marshall county dropped into the lower to mid 30s. Higher elevations, such as Sand Mountain, dropped to between 30 and 32 degrees for 1-3 hours.
