A line of showers and thunderstorms that repeatedly moved across areas of southeast Texas and western Louisiana from the evenings hours on October 29th into the morning hours of October 30th caused considerable flash flooding across Beauregard and Vernon Parishes. Flooding from the heavy rainfall continued throughout the day on October 30th and lasted into the morning hours on October 31st. |

Vernon Parish Emergency Management reported some hunters were trapped by rising waters on the Sabine River from a combination of heavy rainfall the previous day and water releases from Toledo Bend Dam. The hunters had to be rescued. |
