Episode Narrative A cold front approached the area on the 9th. Ahead of the front, warm and humid air led to unstable conditions. The instability combined with the boundary and an upper-level disturbance to trigger showers and thunderstorms on the afternoon and evening hours of the 9th. Some thunderstorms became severe, producing large hail and damaging winds.
Event Narrative Penny size hail was reported near Baker.
