Clusters of heavy rain producing thunderstorms enveloped north Alabama during the late afternoon and early evening of the 1st. Several of these storms dumped 1 to 3 inches of rain in a very short time resulting in brief flash flooding in Colbert, Morgan and Jackson Counties. One severe storm knocked a tree down in Jackson County. |
