A significant severe weather event developed across the NWS Jackson area during the afternoon and evening of May 2. This occurred during the night across Northeast Louisiana as a bowing line of severe storms moved across the northern parishes. These storms brought large hail, some up to the size of walnuts along with damaging winds to some areas. |
