Episode Narrative Upslope flow behind a cold front combined with a favorable wind environment helped to generate strong to severe thunderstorms in Fremont and Johnson counties.
Event Narrative Hail up to the size of nickels covered portions of U.S. Highway 16 and Interstate 25 to a depth of three to four inches. The combination of rain and hail caused one rancher to lose his hay crop on Upper French Creek Road.
