| Episode Narrative | A strong ridge of high pressure aloft repositioned to southern New Mexico by the afternoon of July 8th. With the ridge to the east, a more favorable southeast flow for thunderstorms was established with an increased moisture supply across southeast Arizona. Scattered thunderstorms interacted with a relatively dry boundary layer to produce damaging wind gusts, but also produced enough rainfall to result in some flash flooding events. |
