Several rounds of heavy rain-producing showers and thunderstorms moved across parts of southeast Iowa and west central Illinois on May 15th resulting in some flooding and flash flooding. In addition, nickel-sized hail, damaging lightning, and damaging gradient winds were also observed across parts of southeast Iowa. |

Heavy rains of over 1.5 inches caused agricultural fields to flood just northeast of Colusa, IL during the morning of May 15. The flood-waters ran over a portion of Highway 9. |
