Episode Narrative Several rounds of heavy rain-producing showers and thunderstorms moved across parts of southeast Iowa and west central Illinois on May 15th resulting in some flooding and flash flooding. In addition, nickel-sized hail, damaging lightning, and damaging gradient winds were also observed across parts of southeast Iowa.
Event Narrative Heavy rains of over 1.5 inches caused agricultural fields to flood just northeast of Colusa, IL during the morning of May 15. The flood-waters ran over a portion of Highway 9.
