Isolated to scattered thunderstorms impacted portions of the northeastern South Plains and the Rolling Plains of west Texas during the evening hours of the 1st. Several storms became severe and produced hail up to the size of quarters and damaging thunderstorm winds. The most significant impacts occurred in Childress County where one structure sustained wind damage, and in Swisher County where wind-blown hail destroyed a number of young cotton crops. |
