Episode Narrative A nearly stationary storm over Arizona provided an extended period of deep moisture with widespread showers and isolated thunderstorms. A few of the heavier showers and thunderstorms produced heavy rain. One such storm impacted the Northwest Plateau, resulting in localized flash flooding along state highway 491 south of Shiprock.
Event Narrative Localized flash flooding reported 20 to 30 miles south of Shiprock on State Highway 491. Part of the road was washed out.
