Episode Narrative A strong low pressure system tracked across northern Iowa in the evening hours of April 26th. This produced strong thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall across parts of northeast Iowa. The heavy rainfall caused mudslides and flooded rural roadways in Clayton County.
Event Narrative The Volga River at Littleport crested at 14.32 feet during the early morning hours of April 27th. Flood stage is 12 feet.
