| Episode Narrative | Within a week of being hit by the powerful winter storm of February 23 to 25, another winter storm affected southeast Minnesota from February 28 to March 2. This storm produced snow accumulations between 6 and 12 inches. Specific reports included 11.5 inches at Claremont (Dodge County), 11.2 inches at Byron (Olmsted County) and 11.1 inches at Oronoco (Olmsted County). Strong northwest winds caused considerable blowing and drifting snow, which resulted in the closure of several roads. In addition, 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch of ice impacted areas near the Mississippi River from Wabasha (Wabasha County) to Winona (Winona County). |
