| Episode Narrative | Low pressure tracked from the southern Plains to southern Missouri and then to the Ohio Valley on January 9-10, 2009. A frontal boundary draped across eastern Iowa and northern Illinois focused a band of moderate to heavy snow. Widespread accumulations of 5 to 9 inches were common in northeast Iowa and northwest Illinois north of Interstate 80. |
