A fast moving upper level disturbance traversed east across the northern third of New Mexico on the 7th. High winds affected areas from the Sacramento Mountains eastward to the east central plains. |

The Dora Mesonet site recorded numerous five minute observations of high sustained winds. Sustained wind speeds of 40 to 43 mph were recorded between 1000 am and 140 pm MST. |
