Precipitation ahead of a warm front fell in the form of freezing rain and sleet during the evening hours of January 5th, 2009 into the early morning hours of January 6th, 2009. Ice accumulations were around a tenth of an inch in portions of Northwest Mississippi. Trees and power lines were covered and some power outages occurred. Roads were slick and several accidents were reported. |
