| Episode Narrative | A storm system developed across the northern Rockies and quickly moved eastward across the northern Plains and Upper Midwest causing a small but heavy snow band across the northern portion of Chanhassen's County Warning area. The band was quite narrow with amounts up to a foot, with only a dusting reported about 75 miles south of the warned area. |
| Event Narrative | Snow began in the Alexandria area before midnight on December 29, 2008. Surface visibilities quickly dropped below one mile in snow during the early morning hours of December 30th. The light to moderate snow continued through the morning, before tapping off during the afternoon. Locally six to ten inches fell across the county with the highest recorded at Carlos at 10.0 inches. |
