Episode Narrative Strong low pressure in the southern Plains brought a surge of gulf moisture northward into the region, as a cold front approached from the west. Thunderstorms erupted over western Illinois dumping 1 to 2 inches of rain, which caused isolated flash flooding.
Event Narrative Road just north of Sutter reported to be flooded by several inches of water over the road and impassable.
