Episode Narrative An arctic cold front over southern Canada moved southeast into the Ohio River valley in the evening hours of January 14th. This brought bitterly cold temperatures and wind chills across portions of southeast Minnesota in the evening hours of January 14th through the morning hours of January 16th. Lowest wind chill values ranged from 37 degrees below zero in Houston County to 58 degrees below zero in Mower County.
Event Narrative Lowest unofficial wind chill values ranged from -46F at Austin to -58F at Grand Meadow during the morning hours on January 15th.
