| Episode Narrative | Low pressure moved out of the southern Plains on December 8, reaching the eastern Great Lakes by December 9. This system brought heavy snow to much of southwest and central Wisconsin, with total accumulations between 6 and 11 inches common. Some of the highest totals included 11.0 inches at Millston (Jackson County), 10.0 inches at Mauston (Juneau County) and 9.0 inches at Camp Douglas (Juneau County) and Richland Center (Richland County). In areas south of Highway 18 in Grant County, a mix of freezing rain and sleet occurred initially, which caused an ice glazing of 1/8 to nearly 1/4 of an inch. |
