A series of mid-level shortwave troughs embedded in southwest flow aloft moved across southwest Texas and southeast New Mexico. Precipitable water from the morning sounding at KMAF showed values near 1.75, with a nearly moist adiabatic profile through 6 km. Heavy rain developed from Brewster County northeast through the Western Low Rolling Plains. |
