A stationary front extended from central Minnesota into central Wisconsin on July 16. Thunderstorms developed and remained nearly stationary over extreme southeast Minnesota during the evening hours. This produced very heavy rainfall of up to four inches in La Crescent. Flooding and mudslides were reported in parts of Houston and Winona counties. |
