Episode Narrative A sharpening surface trough combined with a weak upper level disturbance on July 26th. Scattered showers and thunderstorms developed during the late afternoon and early evening across central Virginia. Some storms became severe, producing large hail and gusty winds that downed trees and power lines in Culpeper, Rappahannock and Warren counties.
Event Narrative The Amisville Volunteer Fire Department reported hail to the size of a golf ball.
