Hurricanes & Tropical Storms - June 2007

Atlantic Basin

Tropical storm Barry developed in the southeastern Gulf of Mexico on June 1st. Peak intensity was 93 km/hr (50 knots or 58 mph) with a minimum pressure of 997 mb. Beneficial rains fell in parts of Florida and Georgia. Precipitation totals from U.S. Climate Reference Network (USCRN) stations were accumulated over the June 1-5 period. Pacific Basin

Tropical depression Three-E formed 465 miles south-southwest of Manzanillo, Mexico on June 11. Unfavorable conditions for development led to the weakening of the depression over the next several days and the last advisory from the National Hurricane Center was issued on June 13.
