Wildfires - August 2013

For August, 7,088 fires (3rd least since 2000) burned 1,481,109 acres (6th least on record), which is 209.0 acres burned/fire (7th least on record). For June–August, 17,283 fires (least since 2000) burned 3,600,593 acres (6th least on record), which is 208.3 acres burned/fire (4th most on record). For January - August, 35,287 fires (least since 2000) burned 3,848,380 acres (4th least on record), which is 109.1 acres burned/fire (5th most on record).
