| At the Lewis Glacier, Kenya ice core site, two pits were excavated to 2.6 and 2.3 meters and a SIPRE coring device was used to drill cores in the bottom of each pit. The coring site is on the col between the Lewis and Gregory glaciers at an elevation of 4875 meters. One core was 13.4 meters deep and the second was 11.4 meters deep. |
