Arrivals: European participants should plan to arrive Iceland on the evening of 1 June and overnight in Reykjavik. North American participants should plan to arrive Iceland about 6:30 AM on 2 June, and take the scheduled bus into Reykjavik. All participants should plan to meet our chartered bus in Reykjavik early Friday morning for the 3-hour drive to Kirkjubaejarklaustur.

08:00 Bus departs Reykjavik to take all participants to Kirkjubaejarklaustur; a guide will be on board to point out sites of interest, with one stop en route.

12:30 - 15:30 Box lunches and activity break. Hiking, fishing, and horseback riding available.

16:30 - 20:30 Session 4: Sea ice variability: The Quaternary record.
20:30 - 22:00 Light meal and Round Table discussion: Beyond CLIMAP. How well can we constrain Late Quaternary sea ice limits? What are the main uncertainties in reconstructing Quaternary sea ice variations, and can they be overcome?

16:30 - 20:30 Plenary session: What have we accomplished (summaries by breakout group leaders). Where are the primary data and modeling holes? (Roundtable discussion).

8:30 - 10:00 Final Plenary session: Development of recommendations for future research (round table discussion).
10:30 Bus leaves for Reykjavik; arrive Reykjavik 1:30 PM, and arrive airport in time for late afternoon departures to North America. European participants can explore Reykjavik in the afternoon and catch public transportation to the airport for evening departures to Europe.
