User Engagement Activities at the National Climatic Data Center


As part of the National Climatic Data Center's (NCDC's) desire to reach out to climate sensitive users, NCDC has expanded its services to include sector specific resources and workshops. This page provides information highlighting NCDC data and products that may be of interest to various sectors as well as information on user engagement workshops recently hosted or co-hosted by NCDC.


User Engagement Fact Sheets

User Engagement Workshops

In order to foster continued dialogue with various sectors, NCDC has hosted or co-hosted several user engagement workshops.

  • NESDIS Data Users Workshop
    • Focused on National Environmental Satellite, Data and Information Service (NESDIS) users from NCDC, National Oceanographic Data Center (NODC), National Geophysical Data Center (NGDC), and Office of Satellite Data Processing and Distribution (OSDPD)
  • Climate Change and the Plant Sector: A Growing Interest Workshop
    • Focused on the Plant Sector (Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Golf Course Design and Maintenance, etc.)
    • Co-hosted by The North Carolina Arboretum, the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies, and the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR)
