Introduction
NEXRAD Viewer Image of Hurricane Charley
The NCDC Java NEXRAD Viewer and Data Exporter load Level-II, Level-III and
Stage-III XMRG NWS WSR-88D NEXRAD Radar data into an
OPEN GIS-compliant
environment. The applications are launched via Java Web Start and run
on the client machine while accessing the data locally or remotely from
the archive at the NCDC or any URL.
The Java NEXRAD Viewer provides tools for displaying custom data overlays,
Web Map Services (WMS), animations and basic filters. The export of images
and movies is provided in multiple formats.
