QuickTime Installation Guide

QuickTime 6, including QuickTime for Java, must be installed on the local computer in order to export and open QuickTime movies using the Java NEXRAD Viewer. The installer can be freely downloaded from Apple Downloads.

Important: When installing, you should select "Custom Installation" and ensure that "QuickTime for Java" is checked. A computer restart is needed after installation for the Java NEXRAD Viewer to recognize Quicktime.

Any updates to the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) may require this process to be repeated.
