APPENDIX H: Composition of Second Generation Weekly Composite NDVI Tapes -
Stacked
The tables below list the time periods and SSB tape numbers for the Second Generation
Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) tapes which have been stacked to fill the
available tape. All of these tapes are IBM 3480 cartridges and contain varying amounts of data
depending on whether they are in Plate Carrée, Mercator or Polar Stereographic
projection. Plate Carrée and Polar Stereographic stacked NDVI tapes can contain as
much as 50 weeks of data, while Mercator stacked NDVI tapes hold approximately 35 weeks of
data. Note: these stacked tapes only contain the documentation and NDVI files for the indicated
date ranges.
