National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Weekly Sea Surface Temperature Anomalies National Climatic Data Center Asheville, North Carolina

NCDC's Climate Monitoring Branch now produces weekly sea surface temperature anomaly maps from NOAA's optimally interpolated satellite and in-situ dataset. The analysis, which was developed by NCDC's Richard W. Reynolds and Tom M. Smith, is computed at the National Center for Environmental Prediction (NCEP). A full description of the method of analysis is available at Optimum Interpolation SST (OISST). The most recent maps will be added within three days of the end of each week.
