| The Global Daily Climatology Network (GDCN)
|

V1.0 was released July 2002
|
Introduction
The Global Daily Climatology Network (GDCN) represents a multi-year effort of
collecting, analyzing, and archiving daily data into a single data set. The
GDCN fulfills a need for those who need to access daily data in a single
consistent format. Prior to the GDCN, those with an interest in daily data
were forced to search multiple data sets and often perform many of the time
consuming pre-processing tasks, necessary for the creation of a high quality
data set. In GDCN, the user has access to weather data from stations located
across the world. This web site contains up to date information on the latest version of the GDCN, data set summary maps, quality control
enhancements, error reports, supplementary files, and frequently asked questions.
