Climate of 2003 - October Oregon
Drought National Climatic Data Center, 14 November 2003
October was dry in Oregon. Rainfall averaged across the state gave Oregon its 22nd driest October in the last 109 years. Long-term conditions have also been dry. Precipitation deficits over the last 24 to 48 months have resulted in extreme drought across parts of the state. The severity of the drought is reflected in very low reservoir levels in eastern Oregon, as observed by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation.
