Arizona Drought

National Climatic Data Center, 13 June 2003

Arizona's 15-member Drought Task Force, created in March by Gov. Janet Napolitano, met for the first time recently. The team charted an ambitious course that includes issuing a community drought plan by the end of May and the state's first comprehensive plan by the end of the year (U.S. Water News Online, May 2003).
