Northeast Region Drought

This month was wetter than normal, regionwide, ranking as the 28th wettest September in the 108-year record. The September rainfall brought an end to a regional short-term drought, with July-September coming in as the 21st driest such three-month period. Longer-term dryness has resulted in the 25th driest hydrologic year (October-September).
