This month saw a return of near-normal precipitation, statewide, to New Hampshire. In spite of the September wetness, the extreme dryness of the previous two-months gave the state the fourth driest July-September in the 108-year record. This precipitation pattern, in combination with a wet February-June and a dry October-January, resulted in the 17th driest hydrologic year (October-September) on record.
