On Tuesday, November 12, the Commonwealth of Virginia lifted state water-use restrictions that were imposed in late August for most areas of the state. However, residents must continue to observe local restrictions.

Continued wet weather is needed for the next several months in order to make up deficits that were years in the making. That is why state drought-watchers will re-evaluate conditions this winter to see what conservation measures are needed for spring and summer.
